Springtime double header recon sesh: Quandary + Rosalie / by Dani Perrot

This past weekend, we were finally get out on skis TWO DAYS IN A ROW...oh snap! (And finally.) Love when a "rest" weekend from running mileage coincides with Dierker having no homework to do....Since we haven't been out in a few weeks and we just got up to two feet of new snow a few days prior, we did some moderate skiing to get a little recon trip in and feel out the transition to spring. On Saturday, we had a lovely mellow morning on Quandary skiing the east bowl; it was nice to be back up high on familiar terrain, even with all of the humans. Sunday, we got out to ski a new-to-us remote moderate: Tanglewood Bowl on Rosalie Peak. I've wanted to go up Rosalie (for obvious reasons, aka Sister), but hadn't realized until Friday that there's a potential ski line on it! Luckily it was still filled in. Felt much more adventurous than Saturday, and got in some super fun skiing in an empty, willow-filled basin without seeing another soul. Incredible. Thank you world/life/legs/skis! Even got some campin' in. So grateful for every day we can get out together in the mountains, no matter the mode of travel or conditions. Photos with more deets.
