So long story short, I finished my Spring semester a couple of weeks ago. All A's wahoo! But have stuck to a four day work week so that I could take advantage of a little ski time if the weather allowed. Dani was able to take the morning off work and so the plan was to alpine start the Indian Peaks, bike the Brainard Lake Road and then ski the East shoulder of Audubon, then reverse course, bike back to the car and drop Dani at work by 12:30. Unfortunately we didn't realize that the road was closed to Brainard Lake's winter trailhead so we had to call an audible and rally up the road to RMNP and ski a hot lap on Banana Bowls. Always good to stay flexible and keep a couple back up options in your pocket!
