Forest Lakes: An introduction to East Portal / by Dani Perrot

What started out as an extremely windy day turned out to be absolutely beautiful. Weirdly, all of the other humans besides one other group decided to stay below treeline, so we had most of the day and space to ourselves. No results on 2 ECTs we performed, but pit results confirmed what we already know (hard windslab overlying about 20 cm of facets). Lovely low angle turns on cream-cheesey snow were pretty fantastic, especially when we were the only ones making them.
