A Wonky 3-day(ish) Weekend (Sept 15, 17, 18) / by Dani Perrot

Had to work over the previous weekend so we took a Thursday off. High winds in the Front Range so we went down to Leadville to hike La Plata. Saturday, hiked Flattop to Hallett to check out a potential spring line. Then drove all the way down to Vail/Minturn to camp at the trailhead for Halfmoon Creek to do the Bowl of Tears loop to Mt. of the Holy Cross on Sunday. Jeep shut us down about 2 mi from the trailhead, so after limping it home that night, slept in and had a lazy Sunday.
